Medical Services - including occupational medicine

Our practice specialises in occupational medicine. Occupational Medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries occurring at work or in specific occupations. It is a
specialty and has its own faculty (the Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine) within the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. It was formally its own college but was later brought under the RACP similar to the faculties of rehabilitation medicine and public health medicine.

Dr David Allen has been a specialist in occupational medicine since 1992. He is actively involved in training registrars in occupational medicine and is an examiner for the specialist exams for the faculty. Quality Occupational Health is an active training organisation for occupational medicine with regular in-service training and interdisciplinary professional development. We have a very successful history of training occupational physicians - all registrars who sat their final examinations when working here have passed first time.
