Drug and alcohol policy and testing in the workplace
DASA was established in 2008 to supply specialised drug and alcohol services to Quality Occupational Health clients in Australia. DASA assists with policy writing, training, and drug and alcohol testing to Australian Standards. Our aim is to assist you in managing the risk. Testing is often not needed. If it is, we can provide independent and fair testing to the Australian Standards and meeting our ISO 9001 Quality System.

At Quality Occupational Health we can provide preplacement urine and/or oral fluid drug screening as well as alcohol breath testing services to the relevant Australian standards.
We source a relevant NATA accredited laboratory for all confirmatory testing. We customise the service depending on the client’s needs and discuss with you in detail to ensure it is an appropriate and effective service delivery. As we are owned and run by health professionals we are strongly committed to privacy and confidentiality as well as attention to detail and technical accuracy. In particular our calibration procedure is audited within our ISO 9001 quality assurance system. Staff conducting the testing are health professionals with either medical, nursing or pathology collection training.
Our company can perform the full range of workplace drug and alcohol services including:
- Pre-employment and pre-appointment testing
- Post-incident testing
- For cause / “reasonable suspicion” testing
- Return-to-work testing
- Random on-site testing including “blanket” testing of all employees
For those who need help and rehabilitation we provide medical guidance and will arrange specialised drug and alcohol counselling at no cost to you!
